Sometimes dreams really do come true. In August of 2002 we opened our tenth school year in our very own building.

"This is more like a home than a dorm," says Esther, one of our students, comparing the former school with this one, "It's light, it's airy and lovely."

The complex is located in a quiet section of Tsfat's Arist's Quarter, surrounded by family homes on one side and the hills of the Galilee on the other.  Standing outside the entrance, you get the feeling of something unique and self enclosed.

The broad stone steps wind down to the rounded archway where double doors are covered with swirling blue filigree.  Grilled metal windows and verandas surround the upper level.  As you open the doors and come into the courtyard, you enter a world of stone, glass doors and flower gardens. Like the city of Tsfat itself, it's effect is inspirational and uplifting.

When its previous owners first bought their home/gallery, it was 250 years old.  It's condition then can only be left to the imagination.  With total dedication and love they began renovating.  Stone by stone, every inch became a work of art - pondered, planned, created.  Never losing touch with the integrity of this ancient Tsfat structure, they painted the high domed rooms sparkling white, hung huge black chandeliers encasing flame shaped bulbs, restored built-in niches, planted gardens and vines.  Huge rounded windows fan out in multi-paned glass and teal colored metal, letting in an aura of air, light and space. At the same time, all the facilities are up to date and efficient, combining antique charm with modern conveniences. It's a relaxing home environment.

The home combines all the elements needed to connect our modern girls living in today's world with the ancient timeless teaching of our Torah.  It is a dwelling that reflects the special kedusha of Tsfat, creating an atmosphere where dreams can form and be built.
